Angela Hill laughs off Israel Adesanya 'dry-humping' Paulo Costa after UFC 253 win (VIDEO) — RT Sport News

UFC fighter Angela Hill said she found Israel Adesanya’s “dry-humping” celebration after beating Paulo Costa at UFC 253 funny after Costa reacted with outrage at the footage.

Adesanya defeated Costa via TKO in the second round of their middleweight title bout at UFC Fight Island and made a “hump” move towards the Brazilian before mocking his coaching team.

When asked about her attitude towards the incident, a laughing Hill told media outlets like RT Sport on Fight Island, “That was funny. I mean like, why be crazy about it? The dry humping, there was no intrusion.

“He actually didn’t hit him with anything. It mimicked, he aggressively mimicked. “

The 35-year-old strawweight fighter added, “He was excited and I think this fight really got him mentally busy. I think he had to go deep into his zen state of mind and watch a lot of Naruto to really channel that inner ninja inside of him and beat up the bully and after that he partied beating up the bat.

“I thought it was funny, I didn’t find it disrespectful. Of course it was disrespectful, but I didn’t think it was wrong, given the build and everything. “

It’s fair to say that Costa, who lost his unbeaten record, didn’t see the fun side of the celebration that he missed at the time Adesanya was behind him when the fight ended.

He swore “revenge” on the Nigerian in an angry Instagram post in which he described Adesanya as “human rubbish” and described the celebration as a “disgusting act”.

Hill was also asked if there is a double standard between the way Adesanya and his UFC star Colby Covington are treated by the media after the incident.

After defeating Tyron Woodley on September 19, Covington called the Black Lives Matter movement “domestic terrorists” and asked Nigerian-born fighter Kamaru Usman if his “small tribe” would contact him through “smoke signals”.

About the possibility of double standards, Hill said, “Oh yes, oh yes. I have a feeling that there will always be this group of people who are mad at one group of people but not mad at another, and I don’t think I need to be explicit about what that is.

“I think people just need to relax. If you’re not mad at the Colby thing, you shouldn’t be mad at it. If you’re mad at the Colby thing, maybe you can be mad at it. But for me I was like [the] Colby thing was stupid, that was funny so I don’t know, I think I’m just a hypocrite.

“I don’t know what to say about this, I have a different sense of humor,” she added. “The Colby thing didn’t make me laugh and this made me laugh and I don’t know how to explain it other than that dry humping doesn’t offend a group of people.”
