French football authorities clear Marseille's Alvaro Gonzalez of racism following Neymar skirmish — RT Sport News

Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez is not being punished by French football authorities after the organization said they could not find enough evidence to support Neymar’s allegations of racism during PSG’s game against Marseille.

The Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP) Disciplinary Commission returned their verdict after investigating the situation the couple found themselves in a furious skirmish. Neymar alleged Gonzalez made racially discriminatory comments following Marseille’s 1-0 win over PSG in Paris last month.

“After examining the file, hearing the players and club representatives, the committee finds that there is not enough evidence to prove discriminatory comments made by Alvaro v Neymar during the game or Neymar v Alvaro,” the committee said in a Explanation.

“Alvaro is not racist, any allegation against him in this area is unfair and unfounded,” the statement said.
