James Patterson Strikes First-Look Deal With eOne; Sets ‘The Noise’ As First Project – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Productive writer James Patterson has signed an initial deal with Sharp Objects Studio eOne and has an adaptation of his upcoming novel The Noise as the first project under the deal.

He’s signed on to his production company, James Patterson Entertainment, which already has credits for series like the CBS drama Instinct and Zoo and Netflix’s recent Jeffrey Epstein miniseries.

The deal will include television and new media, including scripted and non-written scripts, with eOne managing the worldwide rights and acting as the studio for all projects under the partnership.

James Patterson Entertainment had already signed a first contract with CBS Television Studios in 2014.

His upcoming book The Noise, a thriller that surrounds a deadly scientific conundrum, will be the first project development under the deal. The book, due out next year, is told through the eyes of two young sisters who live in the Oregon wilderness and the brilliant doctor who tries to save them. The mystery deepens when a destructive force threatens humanity, as we know. Sounds pretty suitable for 2020.
