Markiplier, Analeigh Tipton, Eve Harlow Set For Series ‘Edge Of Sleep’ – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Popular YouTuber Mark Fischbach, aka Markiplier, stars and produces The Edge Of Sleep, a television series based on its QCode podcast of the same name, created by Chozen writers Jake Emanuel and Willie Block.

In addition to MarkiplierAnaleigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and Eve Harlow (Next) will also star.

The post-apocalyptic mystery thriller will follow a night watchman who ends his shift at work to find out that everyone in the world who went to sleep the previous night has died. He and a group of survivors must stay awake and uncover the mystery of the terrible global epidemic before they too can fall asleep.

New Regency Lands film and television rights to Meg Mason’s novel “Grief and Bliss”

The producer of Revenant and The Beast Must Die, New Regency, will act as the studio and independently fund the under-the-radar project. Corey Adams will direct all eps. Filming is scheduled to begin next month in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Executive producers on the series include Jake Emanuel (Creator), Willie Block (Creator), Corey Adams (Director), Mark Fischbach (Lead), New Regency, QCode, Automatic and Oddfellows.

The creators Block and Emanuel will serve as writer showrunners. The duo worked together on Chozen for FX, Bad Vibes for QCode, and developed film and television projects with Rough House, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Lord & Miller.

Markiplier’s YouTube channel has more than 15 billion video views and nearly 30 million subscribers. The 31-year-old gamer and online influencer specializes in Let’s Play videos, often survival horror video games. The Edge Of Sleep marks his first major foray into screenplay television drama.
