Sienna Miller Reveals That Chadwick Boseman Took A Pay Cut To Help Increase Her Salary While They Worked On '21 Bridges'

It has been a month since Chadwick Boseman’s shocking death, and his fans and colleagues continue to mourn as they remember him for all of his contributions.

Recently, Chadwick’s 21 Bridges co-star Sienna Miller spoke about him in Empire Magazine, and she talked about the time they spent together on their 2019 box office hit. During her interview with the publication, she revealed that Chadwick had actually cut a salary just to get the salary she had earned on the film.

Chadwick was also the producer on the film and played a role in the casting of Sienna for the role of detective Frankie Burns. She said, “He was producing ’21 Bridges’ and was really trying to get me to do it. He was a fan of my work, which was exciting because I applied it to him ten times. So he came up to me to do it, he offered me this film and it was at a time when I really didn’t want to work anymore. I had worked non-stop and was exhausted, but then I wanted to work with him. “

Sienna went on to state that she didn’t know if she wanted to tell the story of Chadwick’s wage cut, but chose to do so to prove how great she was as a person.

She continued, “This was a pretty big budget movie and I know everyone understands the pay gap in Hollywood, but I asked about a number the studio wouldn’t get. And because I was hesitant about going back to work and my daughter was going to school and it was an inconvenient time, I said, “I’ll do it if I’m compensated in the right way.” And Chadwick ended up donating part of his salary to take me to the number I asked for. He said I deserved to be paid. “

“21 Bridges” was released in November 2019 and grossed 49.9 million at the box office.

“It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. That just doesn’t happen. He said, “You are paid for what you deserve and what you are worth.” It is simply unfathomable to imagine another man in this town who is so kind or respectful, ”she said.

“Subsequently, I told this story to other male actor friends of mine and they all go very, very quietly and go home and probably have to sit for a while and think about things. But there was nothing noticeable, it was, “Of course I’ll take you to this number because you should be paid for it.”

We continue to uphold Chadwick’s loved ones and fans in prayer as they continue to mourn his death.
