President Trump approached confirmation on Friday that he will no longer be president after Jan. 20 despite not realizing his loss, vowing his administration would not order new coronavirus lockdowns.

“I won’t – this administration won’t lock it down. Hopefully whatever happens in the future – who knows what administration it will be? I think time will tell – but I can tell you this administration isn’t locked becomes.” Trump made his first public statements in days in the rose garden.

Trump’s willingness to propose that there might be another government next year has gone so far as to acknowledge the election results he is currently denying.

While not further publicly saying that he would be leaving office soon, Trump offered an opening.

“This government will not go into lockdown under any circumstances, but we will be very vigilant. Very careful,” he said.

Some background information: According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the US has added more than half a million new Covid-19 cases since it hit 10 million cases on Monday.

At this rate, the number should exceed 11 million in the next four days, which is the fastest addition of millions more, according to John Hopkins data.

November was already crippling for American communities battling Covid-19 spikes in cases, hospitalizations and deaths. Experts warn that it will likely get worse before it gets better.

For the tenth straight day, the US reported more than 100,000 infections, and the total since Monday reached 556,961. On Thursday, with the highest number of more than 153,000 new infections, the country was getting closer to what an expert had predicted could soon become a devastating reality – 200,000 cases a day.
